EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION
We realize that early education is of utmost importance to building a
child’s future. We also understand that parents have obligations
during the day, and often need to find a licensed educational facility
that can assist them in the education and care of their children. That’s where the Guild’s
Children and Youth Services program steps in. The program provides congregate early
education, family childcare, after-school programs, teen services,
supportive services to parents and transition services that enable
children to enroll in kindergarten or first grade. In the congregate early childhood
education program, children participate in a range of classroom
activities, including individual, small and large group sessions as well
as enrichment activities such as music, dance, art and recreation. The program also provides services to
children with disabilities. Family
child care is available for children beginning at two months of age. This is a program in which a licensed
day care provider offers day care within his or her own home. In addition, our Children and Youth
Services department offers an after-school program and full-day summer
day camp.
Hours: Congregate pre-school and family child
care are available Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm for children 2

the eligibility criteria determined by the Administration for
Children’s Services (ACS) for either of these programs. Family day care (2 months-12 years)
