HUDSON GUILD
THEATRE COMPANY
Established in 1994, HGTC serves a community of
more than five thousand low-income residents of diverse cultural
backgrounds and their children and youth in neighborhood schools. The Company is committed to offer
theatre as a timeless art form which educates, bridges ages, ethnicity
and religion. Above all, it can
stir everyone to empathy, or laughter, and hope.
Led by professional theatre artists, the Company
includes residents in many aspects of production. Our outreach programs empower children
and youth to explore role options and positive life choices.
Performing ArtWorks!
Performing ArtWorks! is a
series of dance, music and theatre presentations at Hudson Guild located
at easily accessible, high-traffic community locations. The series is
designed to bring professional performing art companies to youth and
families in the Chelsea
community, particularly those who might not have had readily available,
affordable opportunities. Performing
Artworks! is made possible by a generous grant from Emily Meschter.
