Volunteer Services

Friendly visitors meet with a senior regularly for friendly interaction. Friendly visitors’ activities may range from sharing stories, meeting over coffee, or going for a walk. This warm interaction is important for seniors that may find themselves in isolated situations. Visits take place during times of convenience between the volunteer and participant.

The Escort Program provides accompaniment to and from medical and non-medical appointments. Frailer community seniors appreciate having a travel buddy, shopping partner and/or an advocate present to explain things they may have questions about.

Both services provide volunteers with a meaningful way to give back to their communities and develop significant, long-lasting relationships at the same time.
